Designed by Jorge Zalsuzpin in the 1960s, the Triangular armchair is clearly marked by Lina Bo Bardi’s aesthetic influence; Bo Bardi looked to Brazilian popular culture for inspiration, and was particularly fascinated by sailing boats of the São Francisco River. The piece’s structure is made in iron, with wooden detailing, which a canvas or leather piece is suspended upon to create a back and seat.

TZ Bench, a tribute to Fernando’s aunt and godmother Maria Thereza, who requested a piece for a kitchen counter. It is a three-legged stool with a circular seat, made entirely of solid turned wood, with mortise and tenon.
It is a bench that can have different sizes and be produced between 54 and 72 cm in height, in addition to the standard height of 60 cm.
This pair of vintage armchairs is marked by the contrast of their striking Jacaranda wood frame and the contemporary textured fabric used in their recent reupholstery.

The joints stand out in this design. the attachment of the legs, for example, requires no gluing or screws. only the “dovetail” joint and a trapezoidal wedge keep the legs attached to the seat.
Wooden butterflies reinforce the connections of the pieces that make up the seat, which can measure up to 3 meters in length.
The "Ventura" armchair is distinguished by its sleek and elegant design. Its base is made from native Brazilian Freijó wood, and employs traditional fine woodworking techniques, such as mortises and tenons; its seat and back are leather covered.

Exploring the possibilities of wood and leather, Jorge Zalszupin designed the Veranda armchair in the 1960's, with an adjustable seat and back, wooden base and leather strips for its armrest. Complete with hand-carved wooden buttons and brass detailing, the Veranda is available in the US exclusively at ESPASSO.

After a 40-year hiatus from designing pieces, at 86 years old, Jorge Zalszupin designed the Veronica lounge armchair. Zalszupin explained the design’s conception came by instinct, like all of his works, and in about an hour. Curvilinear, cozy and unique, the Veronica is made in wood and upholstered in leather.
