Tonico Sofa

Playful and comfortable, the signature element of this iconic Sergio Rodrigues mid-century design is the head roll above the sofa’s upholstered back and seat. The ‘Tonico’ is a derivation of the Tonico armchair, both pieces are named after the designer’s brother-in-law; as Rodrigues explained “he sat in the chair and said: I do not want anything else, just this here.”

Tonico Lounge Armchair

Triangular Armchair

Designed by Jorge Zalsuzpin in the 1960s, the Triangular armchair is clearly marked by Lina Bo Bardi’s aesthetic influence; Bo Bardi looked to Brazilian popular culture for inspiration, and was particularly fascinated by sailing boats of the São Francisco River. The piece’s structure is made in iron, with wooden detailing, which a canvas or leather piece is suspended upon to create a back and seat.

TZ Stool

TZ Bench, a tribute to Fernando’s aunt and godmother Maria Thereza, who requested a piece for a kitchen counter. It is a three-legged stool with a circular seat, made entirely of solid turned wood, with mortise and tenon.

It is a bench that can have different sizes and be produced between 54 and 72 cm in height, in addition to the standard height of 60 cm.

Valente Bench

The joints stand out in this design. the attachment of the legs, for example, requires no gluing or screws. only the “dovetail” joint and a trapezoidal wedge keep the legs attached to the seat.

Wooden butterflies reinforce the connections of the pieces that make up the seat, which can measure up to 3 meters in length.
