Ondine Lounge Chair

The ‘Ondine’ Lounge Chair is constructed of a curved metal structure, encased in molded foam, and covered in a specialized flexible fabric. The design principles found in this 1980s piece, as well as its material components define the Ondine’s strong and distinguishable appearance. This was a prototype made by the designer for his beach house and was never mass produced until recently.

Originally designed in the mid-1960's for the lobby of Brasilia's Itamaraty Palace, which houses the Ministry of External Relations of Brazil, Sergio Rodrigues' "Parati" armchair was an instant hit due to its modern, seemingly floating design and comfort. Named after the city of Parati, a preserved Portuguese colonial getaway where the gold rush of the 1700's led to the construction of its historical Gold Trail, Rodrigues has reissued the "Parati" armchair and ottoman after a 40-year hiatus, sold in the US exclusively at ESPASSO.

PL 115 Armchair
