Originally designed for Brasilia’s iconic Palácio Itamaraty, which houses the Ministry of External Relations of Brazil, the "Jimi" armchair has been reissued since 2005. With its square legs affixed to its natural leather•upholstered arms and low scoop frame, the "Jimi" was based on Rodrigues 1958 "Gio" armchair which was selected by Italian architect Gio Ponti to be featured on the magazine Domus Italiana that year.
