About Isay Weinfeld

Media

Isay Weinfeld is arguably one of the top Brazilian architects, known for his all round creative talents and unique outlook. He believes the creative process is an accumulation of experiences and influences from obvious to non-obvious sources. Weinfeld has a love of design beyond the typical realms of architecture, which can be seen in his furniture and domestic object style. Weinfeld has worked on many projects from private residences to commercial spaces and designed environments for Sao Paulo fashion week and the Architectural Project for the 26th International Biennale of Sao Paulo. Weinfeld brings unique design to each project and wants to make people feel good in the space.

Weinfeld holds many achievements since starting work in 1975, after graduating from the School of Architecture at Mackenzie University. In 2004, he was assigned the Architectural Project for the 26th International Biennale of Sao Paulo. One of the most prevalent and recent designs is his 360 building completed in 2013 in Sao Paulo, his home city.

Weinfeld's award-winning furniture is characterized by clean, angular lines and resembles the forms of 1950's Brazilian modernism in its simplicity and sleekness. Weinfeld plays around with different materials to create truly unique and sophisticated pieces.
