Lia Siqueira is one of Brazil's leading contemporary architects and designers. Siqueira has won several awards from the Institute of Architects of Brazil and MOVESP, along with recieving the Selo Rio Design Award in 1996. Siqueira has run the architectural firm Azul Arquitetura & Design in Rio de Janeiro since 1987.
Siqueira's furniture designs reveal a visceral link with wood; employing a feminine, delicate approach towards the material that has garnered considerable admiration in Brazil and internationally.
