The ESPASSO Apartment is a residential takeover developed in collaboration with Office of Tangible Space, conceived as a fully immersive living environment where architecture, collectible design, and daily life intersect. Located within a townhouse on Vanderbilt Avenue in Brooklyn, the installation extends beyond the traditional gallery format, presenting contemporary and historical works in dialogue within an inhabited domestic setting.
The apartment explores how objects shape atmosphere, ritual, and spatial experience over time. Furniture, lighting, art, and material interventions unfold throughout the residence as part of an evolving conversation between Brazilian modernism, contemporary international design, and the emotional qualities of lived space.
Rather than a static exhibition, the apartment functions as a site of encounter: intimate, layered, and deeply experiential. Through carefully composed interiors and site-specific installations, visitors are invited to engage with design not as isolated objects, but as part of a broader cultural and architectural narrative.
