The New York Times: Carlos Motta’s Asturias Armchair at a Bahamas Timeshare
The New York Times Great Homes and Destinations featured the 3,000-square-foot two-story Bahamas beach house projected by Miami-based Chad Oppenheim and purchased by Debbie and Richard Lawn. Once the project was completed Oppenheim made an unexpected proposal to the Lawns: “You put up the land and I’ll put up the house,” he told Ms. Lawn. “We’ll share it.” Amid the casual, rustic and simultaneously modern and clean lines of the house and decor, Carlos Motta‘s Asturias rocking armchairs sit atop the outdoor wide set of stairs, reminiscent of a Mayan temple.
