Brazilian architect Arthur Casas designed the latest Saraiva bookstore in Rio de Janeiro. In it whimsical details, such as color-coordinated books, co-mingle with Casas’ clean and minimal aesthetic and with iconic Brazilian furniture, as the Paulistano armchair by Paulo Mendes da Rocha and Beg armchair by Sergio Rodrigues. Casas had also designed the children’s section at the Saraiva bookstore in São Paulo, earlier in the year, complete with a rainbow-carpeted ramp.
