ESPASSO is proud to be partnering with designer Marcia Tucker in the 2018 Kips Bay Decorator Show House.
The show opened today to the public and Marcia is responsible for decorating the mansion’s Dressing Room and adjacent Full Bath.
To devise a modern take on the traditional concept of the dressing room, Tucker looked to a modern fashion maven: Marina Larroude, the fashion director at Barneys. The dressing room features an “Ipanema” armchair by Jorge Zalszupin and an “Oscar” armchair by Sergio Rodrigues, while the adjacent bath serves as a sanctuary, featuring the “Petalas” side table and complemented with a live wall and diffused scent.
Each year, celebrated interior designers transform a luxury Manhattan home into an elegant exhibition of fine furnishings, art, and technology. This all began in 1973 when several dedicated supporters of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club launched the Kips Bay Decorator Show House to raise critical funds for New York City children. The project has grown into a must-see event for thousands of design enthusiasts and is renowned for sparking interior design trends throughout the world.
