Contemporary Brazilian Printmaking at IPCNY

The Interantional Print Center New York opened this past week the exhibition Contemporary Brazilian Printmaking, uniting fine art print projects by over 15 artists working in Brazil today.  Exploring the various techniques, materials and styles that comprise contemporary printmaking, the exhibition showcases a wide range of objects that reimagine the tradition and manipulation of the medium, as put by one of the exhibition’s curators as “an intuitive and fresh approach to the genre.”  On view through May, the exhibition was curated by Eduardo Besen, Priscila Sacchettinand and Rodrigo Naves and includes artists such as Nara Amélia, Mônica Barki, Ernesto Bonato, Mauricio Parra, Regina Pinto, Yili Rojas, and Carlos Henrique Soares among others.  Click here for more information.
