Bronx Museum – Paulo Bruscky: Art is Our Last Hope
On view through April 13th at The Bronx Museum of the Arts is the multi-disciplinary work of Brazilian artist Paulo Bruscky. Recife-born Bruscky started making art in the late 1960’s within the mail-art movement, gaining recognition and showing among the Fluxus international network. Bruscky’s exhibition titled Paulo Bruscky: Art is Our Last Hope, gathers works spanning 4 decades that explore the poetics and dissemination of information through postcards, newspapers ads, billboards and books, almost always set against the backdrop his hometown, Recife.
